With my work I try to visualize what cannot be put into words. I create intuitively, and nature plays an important role in what I make, because it represents my inner world in an unpolished and truthful way.
My images are not just about capturing a moment; the sensory and the emotional experience go hand in hand. Photographing with an analogue camera, and the attentiveness that comes with it, contributes to this.

I was born in The Netherlands in 1984 and studied at the Photo Academy in Amsterdam where I graduaded in 2011.
My work was nominated for the Photo Academy Award in 2012 and has been published in the book New 2012 – the catalogue for new Dutch photography talent.
